Sony has launched its latest smartphone – Xperia 5 IV – globally. The smartphone features a compact and slim form factor and includes some flagship-grade features like an OLED 120Hz refresh rate display,

Sony Xperia 5 IV Price and availability

Sony has launched the smartphone in three colour options –Black, Ecru White, and Green. The handset comes in just one variant which is priced at €1,049 and will be available for purchase at €1,049 (approximately Rs 83,511). The handset will go on sale in mid-September.

Display

Design-wise, the Xperia 5 IV looks similar to previous Xperia 5 series phones. It is also the same size as the previous generation. In terms of features, the handset comes equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate and the company claims that the panel used here is around 50% brighter compared to the previous generation.

Chipset

Powering the handset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It might not be the latest and greatest, but it is indeed a flagship chip.

Ram And storage

The handset comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage along with an expandable storage slot.


Battery

The handset is backed by a 5000mah battery with 30W fast charging support. It also supports wireless charging.

Camera

In terms of camera, the handset comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary shooter, an ultra-wide sensor along with a telephoto lens. All the lenses come with autofocus support and the regular and telephoto lenses support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). At the front, there’s a 12MP sensor.


Other Features

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, DSEE Ultimate and 360 Reality Audio support.
